Playfully's experiential in-person 'Playful Connection' sessions, foster team trust and accelerate collaboration, championing curiosity, playfulness and creativity.

We've carefully crafted Playful Connection, interweaving techniques and methods from practices including improv theatre, creative writing, poetry, story telling and mindfulness. The result is an unforgettable, human-centred, connection focused session.

Our sessions are designed for team building, onboarding, kick-offs and off-sites. We aim to gently nudge participants out of their comfort zones and to embrace their playful, creative and authentic sides.

Stop, Collaborate and Listen - Introduction to Improvisation Theatre

“Stop, Collaborate and Listen” are the famous lyrics from the Vanilla Ice song ‘Ice Ice Baby’. They’re also some of the underlying principles of improvisation theatre.

As an improviser you need to be spontaneous, in the moment, comfortable with uncertainty and a great team player. In this fun, interactive, eye-opening session, we introduce and train the fundamental principles of improv theatre which are 100% transferable to the current fast-paced, uncertain business world:

  1. The ‘Yes, and’ principle - how to accept and build on each others ideas.

  2. How to make your Colleagues look Good - creating win-win dynamics and stimulate collaboration within the team.

  3. Active Listening - the art of active listening to improve your communication skills.

  4. Spontaneity - becoming comfortable with the unknown and adaptable to new situations.

  5. Risk Taking - creating an environment where your colleagues feel comfortable to contribute, speak up and make suggestions.

The session is designed to bring your team together in a lighthearted way and improve communication, creativity and collaboration.
